Delivery Policy

We aim to please with all aspects of our service, including delivery. Please read this section carefully before placing your order and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us on 01708 206 488.

Delivery Times

The beauty of Essex Interiors furniture is that it is made to order. Delivery times will vary depending on the style and size of the furniture ordered and its country of origin. As a guide, most standard sized items will arrive within 1-3 weeks. Furniture that is crafted to custom sizes will usually take longer - up to 12 weeks - and you will be provided with an estimate before you place your order.

Delivery Charges

Most orders in the Essex area and surrounds will be delivered free of charge and this will be confirmed when you call to check stock prior to placing your order. For orders outside of the county, please ask for a quote. International shipping is not currently offered but we are happy to prepare orders for collection by your own couriers or agents. Please note though that it is your responsibility to ensure packaging is adequate for international shipping.

Delivery Day

An agreed delivery date will be arranged around 5-7 days in advance. You will be responsible for ensuring that suitable access is available on the agreed date and for checking the dimensions of the furniture to ensure it can be accepted into your accomodation. If we are unable to make the delivery due to size restrictions or concerns over damaging property, then a delivery charge may apply. If you need to delay delivery then you should provide us with at least 48 hours notice and delivery charges may apply.

Delivering to the Room of Your Choice

Part of our service includes delivering your furniture to the room of your choice and assembling it where appropriate. Please note some charges may apply in certain cases for assembly. This service will be dependent on a satisfactory safety assessment by our delivery personnel. If we find the room of your choice does not meet our safety requirements then we will place the furniture in an alternative location that is considered safe. We suggest it is best if you have any concerns to discuss them at the time of ordering. Our delivery personnel make every effort to take great care when delivering items. However, if access proves difficult and damage occurs then we will not be held responsible. Please note we are not responsible for moving or dismantling existing furniture to make way for the new items. We do not deliver furniture with soft pads so if you have hard floors we suggest you arrange adequate protection in advance.

Inspection of Goods

Once your furniture has been delivered and, where appropriate, assembled, you will be asked to inspect it for any damage or defects and then sign to acknowledge satisfactory receipt. If you appoint a third party to accept the delivery for you then it will be their responsbility to inspect the goods on your behalf. Please note that the person accepting the delivery must be aged 18 or over, otherwise we will be unable to leave the goods and a delivery charge may apply.
